Elderly Man Falls Asleep While Driving, Crashes Into House

DETAILS:

1. An elderly man had just left the dentist’s office, and as he was heading southbound on Phyllis Pl, he said he fell asleep.
2. The car crossed the street and hit a wall before landing below and hitting a house and its’ gas line.
3. Firefighters were able to extricate the male to safety.
4. He was not seriously injured however he was taken to an area hospital
5. The house’s gas line was hit and was leaking.
6. SDG&E Crews secured the line.
