El Monte: Suspect Crashes Stolen Vehicle During Pursuit

06.14.2020 | 11:30 PM | EL MONTE – A pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended when the suspect crashed after a PIT maneuver, late Sunday night.

Officers initiated pursuit of a vehicle reported stolen somewhere in the Fontana area around 11:30 PM.

Units pursued the the vehicle along the I-210 Freeway to Pasadena before turning around and traveling into El Monte.

A PIT maneuver caused the to strike a tree and water line ending the pursuit on Santa Anita Avenue near Tyler Avenue.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
