Eight Year Old Child Shot During Road Rage In Houston
Houston Police responded around 9:40pm for reports of a shooting. They arrived in the area of 12600 N. Featherwood Dr to find an adult female with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and a male child with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and thumb. Houston Fire responded and transported both to the hospital by ambulance. Thankfully, both victim’s injuries aren’t too serious and they will survive.
Initial information is that a male driver, his girlfriend, and her two children were in a small truck leaving Taco Bell. The vehicle turned East onto Fuqua, when a Buick with no headlights, that was heading the same direction, almost collided with them. There was a small verbal altercation between the two vehicles, and both parties continued driving. The truck ended up passing the Buick, at which point they started to hear gunfire. The two victims were struck by the gunfire, at which time the truck pulled over to call 911.
The suspects fled in a possible white cream color Buick with chrome rims. The investigation is ongoing.
