Echo Park: Crash Into Super 8 Motel Critically Injures Two People

09.09.2019 | 9:05 PM | LOS ANGELES – Two people were critically injured after their vehicle crashed into a Super 8 Motel, Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision at the Super 8 Motel located near the intersection of Vin Scully Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in the Echo Park area around 9:05 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a vehicle that had struck a fire hydrant before crashing into the Super 8 Motel building.

Both occupants inside the vehicle were trapped as a result of the crash and had to be freed using the jaws of life.

Firefighter paramedics treated both patients on scene before transporting them to an area hospitals in critical condition.

No injuries were reported from inside the building and the cause of the crash was under investigation.
