Early Morning Fire at Stardust Inn in National City, Plaza Blvd Closed for Investigation

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 5-14-24 5:20 am
LOCATION: 1700 Plaza Blvd
AREA/CITY: National City
DETAILS:

 

1. For the second time within the last few days, a fire was started at the Stardust Inn.
2. The first destroyed the Lobby area.
3. This fire was on the opposite side of the lobby.
4. There was a large response from several fire agencies who were able to stop the fire within 20 minutes.
5. The motel is under renovation at this time.
6. It’s believed that transients set this fire and the other fire.
7. Fire Investigators will be investigating again.
8. Plaza Blvd is closed between Palm Ae and the I-805.
