1. Mesa Police and Fire along with American Medical Response were dispatched to reports of a shooting in Northeast Mesa early Sunday morning.
2. Police arrived and located an unresponsive victim outside a gated housing community.
3. Firefighters evaluated the victim before pronouncing them deceased on scene.
4. Police closed off the area and began searching for evidence.
5. Detectives are on scene and are investigating the scene.
