DUI Suspect Leads Police On Pursuit, Crashes Into House

According to Riverside Police Department, PIO, Ryan Railsback,, At around 2:25 a.m., patrol officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a suspected D.U.I driver in the area of 9th St. and Lime St. The driver failed to yield and led the officers on a brief pursuit. The driver failed to negotiate a turn onto 3rd St. from Lime St. and collided into the side of a house. The car caught on fire and the only occupant of the residence was quickly evacuated. The driver was arrested for DUI and other charges and taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, where he remains for now.
