DUI Suspect Fights Officers After Crashing Into 2 Other Vehicles

LOCATION: Edgewater Boulevard and Metro Center.
AREA/CITY: Foster City
DETAILS:

1. Officers, Fire, and EMS Responded to reports of a 3 vehicle collision.
2. Upon arrival, officers suspected one driver to be under the influence, but he became uncooperative with officers.
3. Upon exiting his vehicle, a fight ensued between officers and the suspect, who began resisting.
4. Officers were eventually able to get the suspect in handcuffs after a struggle.
5. One other party was treated for injuries as a result of the collision.
6. The suspect was arrested for DUI and taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
