DUI Porsche Driver Fatally Hits Pedestrian | Stanton

03.21.2021 | 1:31 AM | STANTON (CNS) – A 31-year-old woman was fatally struck Sunday in Stanton and the woman at the wheel of the SUV that hit her was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The crash happened about 1:30 a.m. on the Stanton/Anaheim border as she was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk at 8901 Katella Ave., according to Carrie Braun, a spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was identified as Desiree Robles by the Orange County coroner.

Braun told the Orange County Register that Robles was hit on the Stanton side of the border

Robles died at the scene, the coroner’s office reported.

The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and was arrested, but not immediately identified by authorities, the Register reported.

The death was being investigated by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
