At approximately 12:44 a.m. on June 30, 2026, Riverside Police Department officers and Riverside Fire Department crews responded to a major traffic collision in the 4600 block of Minnier Avenue.
Arriving units found a white pickup truck, two heavily damaged vehicles, and three additional parked cars with minor damage following the chain-reaction crash.

A second parked vehicle was pushed into the roadway, while the pickup continued into the gated apartment complex, destroying the entrance gate before coming to rest in the parking lot.
The airborne vehicle traveled an estimated 40 feet from the roadway before stopping inside the complex.
The pickup driver was able to self-extricate from the wreckage and was transported to a local hospital with injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Riverside Police Public Information Officer Steven Espinosa later confirmed that the driver was determined to be under the influence and was booked following the crash.
