DUI Crash Involving Police Cruiser Injures Child In LA

At approximately 3:20 a.m. on April 26, 2026, a head-on collision involving a police vehicle occurred near Crenshaw Boulevard and Obama Boulevard in the Leimert Park area of Los Angeles.

Authorities reported a woman driving the other vehicle had two children inside at the time of the crash. An 8 year-old was transported to a hospital with injuries, while a younger child remained at the scene.

An officer involved in the crash was also treated for arm injuries.

Following the collision, officers conducted a field sobriety test on the driver, who was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The investigation remains ongoing.
