DUI Arrest After Fiery 6 Car Street Racing Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11:40 pm 10-16-25
LOCATION: Tweedy Blvd JWO Truba Ave
AREA/CITY: South Gate
DETAILS:

1. Residents say they hear two cars racing just before the loud crash.
2. A total of 6 vehicles were involved. 4 of the cars were parked.
3. The crash sent a silver SUV onto the sidewalk, hitting a business, sending glass and chairs flying.
4. A red sedan and a blue sedan with major front-end damage were the suspected racing cars.
5. The red racing car burst into flames. LACoFD arrived quickly to put out the fire.
6. The 911 call said people were trapped, but firefighters found everyone out of the vehicles.
7. Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
8. The driver of the Blue racing car was arrested for DUI. Unknown if the driver of the Red racing car will be arrested at this time.
9. Beer cans can be seen near the Blue and Red race cars.
