Drunk Driver Strikes Family Out For Mid Day Walk

DETAILS:
- Four people are hospitalized, two of which were left in critical condition after a sedan hops the curb and hits a family walking on the sidewalk.
- A child and mother were in critical condition after the sedan lost control and went onto the curb striking the family and coming to a stop on the embankment.
- The crash occurred near the intersection of Antonio Pkwy & Oaktree Ln in the city of Las Flores.
- Just after 4:15 pm units responded to a vehicle collision involving multiple pedestrians, when they arrived they found a child, mother and father suffering from extreme trauma after the vehicle collided with them.
- The family was all rushed to a local trauma center, the driver stayed at the scene however was also transported in unknown condition.
- The California Highway Patrol is working with the Orange County sheriff department as they have the northbound lanes of Antonio Pkwy closed for an unknown duration for their investigation.
- The driver has been detained for suspicion of DUI
