Drunk Driver Plows Into Occupied Firehouse Subs

- Phoenix Police and Fire crews responded to reports of a vehicle collision into an occupied Firehouse Subs near the intersection of 35th Avenue and Greenway Road around 7:30 PM.
- Upon arrival, crews found a pickup truck that had crashed into the front entrance of the business and landed on top of a parked car.
- The business was quickly evacuated, fortunately no customers were injured.
- According to police and the franchise owner, the male driver was evaluated by fire crews but refused medical treatment. He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
- The franchise owner stated, she witnessed the pickup truck traveling south on 35th Avenue towards Greenway at high speed when it left the roadway crashing through the parking lot and into the store front.
- Phoenix Police are on scene investigating the incident.
