Drunk Driver Laughs Through Entire DUI Test

At approximately 8:00pm on March 16th, 2026, California Highway Patrol officers and first responders were dispatched to a reported vehicle versus tree collision near Red Rock Road and Burnt Mill Road in the Lake Arrowhead area.

According to reports, the driver appeared to be under the influence and was attempting to leave the scene prior to officers arriving. A family member also arrived and attempted to assist the driver out of the vehicle.

CHP officers arrived and conducted field sobriety tests, which extended beyond the typical duration as the driver reportedly showed clear signs of impairment. Authorities stated the suspect appeared to be heavily under the influence during the evaluation.

Following a breathalyzer test, the driver was placed into custody on suspicion of DUI and transported to jail.
