Drone Tracks Down Suspect After Pursuit Crash

DETAILS:

1. A deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 118 freeway and Collins Drive when the car fled WB on Campus Park Drive
2. The vehicle hit a dead end near a residential neighborhood and crashed into a parked vehicle outside a house
3. Two suspects fled from the vehicle; one suspect, a female, was injured and immediately taken into custody
4. The other suspect fled and was later found in a residence’s backyard, thanks to a UAV drone’s assistance.
5. Ammunition was also found on the front seat, and the suspect was believed to be armed
6. The vehicle was a 2023 Jeep and was a rental vehicle
