Driver Trapped In Dodge Challenger After Fiery Crash

DETAILS:

1. LAFD & CHP responded to a report of a crash with a car on fire and the driver trapped inside
2. Good samaritans who witnessed the crash extinguished the fire with fire extinguishers
3. The male driver was trapped in the car, his lower extremities were pinned by the dash
4. Firefighters arrived and doused the car with water to ensure the fire would not reignite
5. Crews began to extricate the patient
6. After a lengthy extrication the driver was finally freed from the wreckage
7. LAFD Paramedics transported the male to Holy Cross
8. This appears to be a high speed, solo vehicle crash
9. CHP is handling the investigation
