Driver Trapped In Crushed Vehicle After Cerritos Crash

One person was hospitalized following a serious traffic collision involving a box truck early Tuesday morning in Cerritos.

The crash occurred around midnight on September 22, 2026, near Carmenita Road and 183rd Street.

Los Angeles County firefighters and sheriff’s deputies responded to find a victim trapped in a severely damaged vehicle. The victim was freed and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

A box truck was also involved in the collision. The victim’s condition and the circumstances leading up to the crash were not immediately available.

No fatalities were reported.
