Driver Trapped After Vehicle Crashes into Pole

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 7-21-25 1:12 am
LOCATION: Tatum St & N Melrose
AREA/CITY: Vista
DETAILS:

 

1. At around 1:12 AM at Deputy responding to a separate incident came upon a Vehicle with Major damage that had struck a pole.
2. the Deputy quickly rendered aid to the driver of the vehicle while Fire responded.
3. Firefighter quickly arrived and popped the door to free the driver.
4. The driver was then transported to a trauma center with moderate injuries.
5. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time but it is believed that speed is a factor at this time.
6. SDSO is investigating this crash.
