Driver Transported to Trauma Center After Vehicle Slams Into House

- VISTA: At approximately 1:55 p.m., reports of a vehicle crashing into a structure were received in the 200 block of Hillside Terrace. Upon arrival, first responders found residents detaining the driver and a vehicle that had left the roadway and crashed into the garage of a home.Firefighters transported the driver to a trauma center for treatment. An underage passenger was also evaluated at the scene and told responders he jumped out of the vehicle moments before it struck the house.
Authorities believe the driver may have been under the influence at the time of the crash. City building inspectors responded to assess the structural integrity of the residence.
