Driver Shot Multiple Times On 110 Freeway In South LA

A driver was hospitalized after being shot multiple times during a freeway shooting in South Los Angeles early Saturday morning.

At around 12:00 a.m. on July 26, 2026, a yellow Chevrolet Camaro was traveling on the southbound 110 Freeway when another vehicle opened fire.

The driver continued to the Manchester Avenue exit, where California Highway Patrol officers were already conducting a DUI stop along the shoulder. The wounded driver pulled over next to the CHP units and reported the shooting.

Video from the scene showed multiple bullet holes in the passenger side of the Camaro as well as the front windshield.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities have not released where the victim was struck or the extent of the injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division assumed the investigation into the shooting.

The circumstances leading up to the gunfire remain under investigation.
