Driver Of Stalled Car Fatally Struck on Pasadena Freeway
A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the 210 Freeway in Pasadena early Saturday morning.
At approximately midnight on August 1, 2026, the California Highway Patrol received a report of a stalled vehicle on the eastbound 210 Freeway just west of North Lake Avenue.
Shortly afterward, CHP received a second call reporting a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at the same location.
According to preliminary information from radio traffic, a red sedan at the scene is believed to have been the stalled vehicle. An SUV reportedly struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. It remains unclear whether the person killed was the driver or a passenger of the disabled vehicle.
No additional information was available at the scene, and the circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
