Driver Killed in High-Speed Crash into Semi

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-19-25, 10:41 p.m.
LOCATION: Gilman Springs Road and Bridge Road.
AREA/CITY: Moreno Valley
DETAILS:

 

  1. California Highway Patrol, San Gorgonio Office, and Cal Fire Riverside County, Moreno Valley, responded to a reported car vs a semi with an extrication call.
  2. When units arrived, they found a white Scion with major front end damage and its driver still in the car.
  3. Firefighter paramedics attended to the patient, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
  4. According to a witness, speed was a factor (SOT)
  5. According to CHP, the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit the semi, killing the driver.
  6. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.
