Driver Killed In Cajon Pass Crash On 15 Freeway

At approximately 12:34 a.m. on May 2, 2026, emergency crews responded to a traffic collision on the southbound 15 Freeway truck bypass lane north of the 215 interchange in the Cajon Pass.

Responding units located a single vehicle that had crashed into the center divider with major damage. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Witnesses reported the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash and may have overturned multiple times before coming to rest.

Authorities shut down the truck bypass lane and nearby on-ramps as crews worked the scene and conducted their investigation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
