Driver Killed After Wrapping Car Around Light Pole

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 100 am 7-30-24
LOCATION:  Atascocita Rd & Wilson Rd
AREA/CITY:  Humble
DETAILS:

1. Humble PD officers came upon a 2 vehicle crash
2. Fire and EMS were requested for 7 patients
3. a family of 5 and an uber driver in 1 vehicle and solo occupant of the other vehicle
4. male driver and lone occupant pronounced deceased at scene
5. Uber driver and family transported to local hospital
6. It appears the deceased is the at fault driver
7. deceased appears to have run the red light, striking the uber driver and his fare
8. roadway should be open by about 5AM
9. deceased is believed to be impaired, which will be determined by the ME’s office
