1. Ventura County Fire and California Highway Patrol responded to a reported traffic collision with a person trapped.
2. Firefighters arrive and discover two vehicles involved in the #1 and #2 lanes.
3. The driver of the pickup toyota pickup truck was trapped in his vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
4. The driver of the other vehicle, a white newer model SUV, was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
