Driver Killed After Fiery Crash Into Parked Semi In Houston

A driver was killed after crashing into a parked semi-truck early Saturday morning in Houston.

At approximately 3:32 a.m. on July 26, 2026, Houston Police responded to the 1600 block of Dorsett Street near Pillot Street following reports of a serious traffic collision.

According to investigators, a vehicle traveling northbound on Dorsett struck a parked 18-wheeler before continuing into a grassy area alongside a fence, where it caught fire.

The vehicle was occupied only by the driver. Despite emergency response efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 3:41 a.m.

Investigators have not determined what caused the crash, and it is unknown whether impairment played a role.

The Houston Police Department is continuing its investigation into the fatal collision.
