Driver Killed After Crashing Into The Back Of A Semi Truck

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11:27pm / 01-26-24
LOCATION: NB 405 Fwy & CHP Weighting Station
AREA/CITY: Carson
DETAILS:

1. LACoFD and South LA CHP received a call of a traffic collision on the 405 fwy NB at the Carson scales
2. It was reported to CHP that a solo vehicle crashed into the rear of a semi truck
3. Once fire arrived they reported one person still trapped inside the vehicle
4. The vehicle was wedged underneath the semi
5. LACoFD declared the trapped victim deceased
6. CHP is handling the investigation
