Driver Killed After Crashing Head On Into Tree

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-25-23, 12:45 a.m.
LOCATION: S. Glassell Street and W. Chapman Ave
CITY: Orange
DETAILS:

1. Orange Police Department and Orange Fire Department responded for a reported single vehicle traffic collision.
2. When the first responding units arrived, they found a new Toyota SUV (Still had paper plates on the vehicle) that had crashed head on into a tree at the City of Orange, Historical Circle.
3. Paramedics found the victim trapped in their vehicle.
4. Firefighters extricated the male victim, who was the single occupant in the vehicle, extrication took around 18 minutes.
5. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
6. The cause of the collision is under investigation
