Driver Killed After Car Hydroplanes on Freeway in San Diego

11.07.2020 | 7:39 AM | SAN DIEGO – A female was T-boned by a box truck after she lost control of her vehicle in the rain Saturday morning, leaving her fatally injured.

Authorities received the call just after 7:30 AM Saturday regarding a three-car wreck in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 at Camino Del Norte.

Allegedly, the female driver of the green sedan started hydro-planing after hitting a puddle of water according to a witness.

She went into the #4 lane and over-corrected and started spinning across the freeway and was t-bone by a box truck. Her car then went into the center divider wall.

Other vehicles ended up crashing behind this incident.

The victim was unfortunately pronounced deceased at the scene.

CHP officers are handling and investigating further into the tragic incident.
