Driver Hospitalized After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree in Oceanside

LOCATION: N Melrose & Meadowbrook Dr
AREA/CITY: Oceanside
DETAILS:

  1. At around 12:24 a.m., reports of a traffic collision came in on N Melrose Dr., north of Meadowbrook Dr.
  2.  On arrival, first responders located a vehicle that had collided with a tree, with bystanders rendering aid to the driver.
  3. Firefighters transported the driver to a hospital for treatment of their injuries and assisted with clearing the roadway after the tree fell into the road.
  4. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, and DUI is NOT suspected.
