Driver Flees, Leaves Passenger Behind After Rollover Crash | San Diego

11.07.2021 | 12:58 AM | SAN DIEGO – A vehicle was traveling Westbound on I-8 near Mission Center Road when for unknown reasons, veered to the right shoulder. The vehicle struck a dirt mount along the freeway causing the vehicle to roll over several times. The driver got out of the vehicle and fled, leaving his female passenger behind unable to get out of the SUV. Firefighters arrived and managed to pry open the passenger side driver with the jaws of life. The female was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Firefighters combed through the area attempting to locate the driver but were unsuccessful. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
