Driver Flees After Hitting and Killing Pedestrian

DETAILS:
- A fatal vehicle vs pedestrian incident is being investigated as a possible hit and run in Ontario.
- At around 11 PM, First responders were dispatched to reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian with the victim in the middle of the road and not breathing.
- When they arrived on the scene, they found a single victim down in the middle of the road and declared the victim to be deceased.
- A large semi-truck was seen parked directly in front of the victim, but it was not the vehicle involved in the incident.
- The Truck driver, who did not want to speak on camera, said that she found the lifeless body in the middle of the road and parked in the middle of the road to block traffic from driving over the victim.
- She stated that she found the victim alone in the street with no other cars around and felt obligated to try and help by blocking traffic.
- Sadly, her truck is now on the scene, and the LEO stated that she would not be able to leave for several hours while the investigation continued.
- Law enforcement was seen searching the surrounding parking lots, but they could not tell us what they were looking for.
- A vehicle was parked down the street with its hazards on, and law enforcement was seen near the vehicle, but it is unknown if the vehicle was related to the incident or a witness.
