Driver Flees After Fatally Hitting Pedestrian in Compton

COMPTON (CNS) – A pedestrian was killed after they were struck by a
vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Compton, authorities said today.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the intersection of
Rosecrans and Keene avenues around 9:03 p.m. Tuesday and found the pedestrian
in traffic lanes on Rosecrans, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News
Service.
The victim, whose name, age or gender were not immediately known, was
pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.
The driver who struck the victim drove away from the scene and there
was no vehicle suspect.
