Driver Fatally Struck by Passenger Train

LOCATION: Intersection of Mission Road and Enterprise St.

DETAILS:
- At around 1:08 pm reports of a crash involving a sprinter train came out at the intersection listed above.
- Arriving units found a Sprinter train had collided with a pickup truck due to the heavy damage.
- Firefighters attempted to extricate the driver, but they were pronounced deceased on the scene.
- A train crossing bar is damaged, and at this time, it appears the vehicle drove through it prior to the collision.
- it is unknown if any passengers or personnel were injured in the crash.
- (UPDATE) According to several witnesses who attempted life-saving measures, the driver is former San Diego County Supervisor Bill Horn
- But authorities have not confirmed this information.
