Driver Extricated After Rollover Crash In Dense Fog

DETAILS:
- Oceanside Police and the Oceanside Fire Department responded to a Vehicle Rescue on the 1600 block of S. Oceanside Blvd.
- When first responders arrived, they learned that a Ford Mustang was traveling Westbound at a high rate of speed in dense fog. The vehicle left the roadway, went up a sidewalk, struck two electrical boxes, and rolled onto its roof.
- The male driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters, which took approximately 20 minutes.
- The driver was transported to a local hospital; his condition is unknown at this time.
- Oceanside Police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol were a factor at the time of the crash.
- The crash caused power outages in the general area.
