Driver Dies After SUV Crashes Into Utility Pole In Dallas
A man died after his SUV crashed into a utility pole early Thursday morning in Dallas.
At approximately 2:41 a.m. on July 23, 2026, Dallas Fire-Rescue crews responded to the 2800 block of South Westmoreland Road following reports of a serious single-vehicle crash.
When firefighters arrived, they found an SUV that had collided with a utility pole. The vehicle was occupied only by the adult male driver, who became trapped inside.
Rescuers extricated the driver before he was transported to a local hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, he died a short time after arriving.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the driver was traveling northbound on South Westmoreland Road when he lost control of the SUV and struck the utility pole.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
