Driver Dead, Passenger Injured After Ford F350 Rollover | Houston

03.29.2021 | 12:00 AM | HOUSTON – HCSO, HPD and HFD responded to reports of a major crash with parties trapped on the Northbound 249 at Grant Road. arriving units located a white pickup truck which had rolled over on the offramp, and 2 parties trapped inside. HFD extricated an adult female and she was transported to a nearby trauma center, where she is expected to survive. The driver, an Adult male, was pinned inside for an extended time, and succumbed to his injuries inside the truck. During their investigation, HPD learned that an HCSO Deputy on-viewed the crash, and his dash cam may have caught it. The truck is believed to have struck the K-Rail on the right side of the freeway before flipping over and onto the barrier on the offramp. The Grant offramp remains closed for the investigation, but main lanes of 249 are open.
