Driver Dead After Crashing Into Steel Pole In Westminster

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1-28-25, 12:29 a.m.
LOCATION: Sr22 E / Goldenwest St
AREA/CITY: Westminster
DETAILS:

  1. California Highway Patrol, Westminster and Orange County Fire Authority responded to a solo vehicle traffic collision on the freeway.
  2. When units arrived on scene, they found a vehicle that was on its roof and between the K rail and against the cement base of the freeway road sign.
  3. Extrication took about 12 minutes.
  4. Firefighter paramedics pronounced the occupant deceased at the scene.
  5. A Sig Alert has been issued for a few hours.
  6. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
