Driver Arrested After Hitting and Killing a Pedestrian

LOCATION: Century Blvd and S Figueroa St

DETAILS:
- One person is left dead after being hit by a person driving a white SUV.
- A damaged vehicle is at the pump at a gas station located at the Southeast corner of Century and Figueroa St.
- The victim was found on the ground just across from the grey sedan, where you can see a gas pump lying on the floor as if they were pumping gas.
- The suspect’s car was found just across the street from the scene, with damage to the front bumper area and windshield.
- Unknow where the victim was struck.
- According to police, the woman took off on foot, and at some point, a group of “Bandit” tow truck drivers, as police called them, possibly brought her back to the scene.
- The suspect was placed under arrest.
- LAPD south traffic officers are investigating.
