Downey: Vehicle Crashes Into Home

11.18.2018 | 11:00 PM | DOWNEY – A car came crashing into a home after it was possible rear-ended, Sunday night.

Police and fire responded to reports of a vehicle versus structure collision in the 11700 block of Lakewood Boulevard around 11:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene found an BMW sedan that had collided with a home in an apparently high-speed crash.

The force of the crash caused a screen window in the residence to blow out and also appears to have knocked down a light pole.

The extent of injuries suffered or the circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately clear.

The Downey Police Department is investigating the crash.
