Double Shooting in Long Beach Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

LOCATION: Locust Ave and Eagle St

DETAILS:
- Two people were shot 1 killed next to a community park. Long Beach PD was investigating another shooting that occurred around the same time where the victim self transported to the hospital. Police initially thought that the victim was a part of the shooting but they discovered it was a separate shooting.
- One person was transported to the hospital and 1 declared deceased at the scene.
- A third person showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. Long Beach Officers confirmed that that shooting is not related to the double shooting.
- Long Beach detectives are at the scene.
- At least 2 Hispanic male suspects were last seen on Eagle St going towards Long Beach Blvd.
