Domestic Violence Call Turns Into SWAT Callout

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1100pm 10-6-24
LOCATION:  13300 block of Joliet
AREA/CITY:  Houston
DETAILS:

1. HPD responded to reports of a domestic call where the husband had threatened his wife with a firearm
2. female managed to get free from the house after the incident, but the husband remained armed and 3 kids inside
3. husband threatened to kill the family if he saw any police
4. SWAT arrived around 1:00am, and devised a plan to rescue the kids and take the male into custody
5. SWAT deployed a number of flashbangs at approximately 3:30, and subdued the suspect, and kept the dogs in the back yard at bay
