DETAILS:

1. HPD and HFD responded to reports of a shooting
2. as units were en route, dispatchers began providing instructions for life-saving measures over the phone
3. arriving units located a female who surrendered to officers and another female down with at least one gunshot wound
4. The female was pronounced deceased at the scene
5. the second female was taken into custody
6. both women in their 30s were in a relationship
7. prelim reports of a fight that escalated into a shooting
