Dog Rescued From House Fire

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10-3-24, 4:17 P.M.
LOCATION: 21416 Vista Caballero
AREA/CITY: Perris
DETAILS:

1. Cal Fire, Riverside County, Perris and Mead Valley responded to a reported structure fire with people trapped.
2. When units arrived, they found the mobile home with heavy smoke.
3. Firefighters entered the home in rescue mode, searching for the trapped occupant.
4. During their primary search, they located two dogs inside the home, suffering from major smoke inhalation, no humans were found.
5. The dogs recieved oxygen and firefighters were able to save one of the dogs, a second dog perished at the scene.
6. One man was transported suffering from smoke inhalation.
7. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
8. The Red Cross was summoned for 6 displaced people, and several dogs.
