DETAILS:
- Cal Fire, Riverside County, Perris and Mead Valley responded to a reported structure fire with people trapped.
- When units arrived, they found the mobile home with heavy smoke.
- Firefighters entered the home in rescue mode, searching for the trapped occupant.
- During their primary search, they located two dogs inside the home, suffering from major smoke inhalation, no humans were found.
- The dogs recieved oxygen and firefighters were able to save one of the dogs, a second dog perished at the scene.
- One man was transported suffering from smoke inhalation.
- The cause of the fire is under investigation.
- The Red Cross was summoned for 6 displaced people, and several dogs.
