Diamond Bar: Sergeant Spots Vehicle Catching Fire While Driving
12.28.2019 | 2:00 AM | DIAMOND BAR – An alert California Highway Patrol sergeant spotted a vehicle catching fire as it drove down a freeway and was able to stop the driver before the vehicle became engulfed in flames, early Saturday morning.
A sergeant from the California Highway Patrol’s Baldwin Park office spotted a vehicle catching fire as it traveled westbound on the SR-60 Freeway just east of Grand Avenue around 2:00 AM.
The sergeant immediately stopped the driver who was unaware of the fire and helped her to safety..
Firefighters responded to the scene and doused the fire which had engulfed the vehicle in about 15 minutes.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
