Diamond Bar: Motorcyclist Dead After Pursuit Crash

01.21.2020 | 2:40 AM | DIAMOND BAR – A motorcyclist was dead after crashing during a police pursuit, early Tuesday morning.

Officers with the Pomona Police Department attempted to stop a motorcyclist with expired registration tabs early Tuesday morning.

The motorcyclist fled from officers prompting a pursuit that reached speeds of 80 MPH before losing control and crashing into a power pole near the intersection of Diamond Bar Boulevard and Soltaire Street around 2:40 AM.

Firefighter paramedics responded to the scene to render aid but pronounced the rider deceased.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the pursuit crash.

No other injuries were reported.
