Deputy Pinned by Suspect in Dodge Charger, Opens Fire | Houston
09.22.2022 | 1:20 AM | HOUSTON – HPD units responded to an assist the officer call at this location.
It was reported deputies working an extra job at this location witnessed a vehicle that appeared suspicious in the parking lot.
When deputies attempted to approach the vehicle, the suspect pulled out of the parking spot aggressively pinning the deputy between another vehicle.
The suspect then attempted to speed off, running into two other vehicles.
The deputy that was pinned fired off rounds at the suspect.
The suspect vehicle then crashed through a gate attempting to flee the area.
Deputies were able to pulled the suspect out of the vehicle.
That’s when they discovered the male suspect had a gun shot wound to the hand.
A passenger in the vehicle fled the scene on foot.
He is not considered a suspect at this time.
The male suspect was transported by ambulance and is in stable condition.
The deputy who was pinned was also transported by ambulance with a leg injury and is in stable condition.
At this time the investigation is on going.
