Deputy Opens Fire After Pursuit Suspect Intentionally Runs Him Over

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-17-24 | 3 a.m.
LOCATION: IH-45 & Pruitt Rd
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

1. Officer involved shooting following pursuit. Driver transported to hospital per MCTX link (above)
2. Vehicle failed to yield for traffic stop.
3. Suspect came to stop at crash scene that was already there.
4. Suspect then reversed vehicle and hit the Deputy as the Deputy exited his vehicle and crashed into the patrol vehicle.
5. The Deputy then discharged his weapon.
6. The suspect was transported to the hospital.
7. One Deputy sent to hospital for injuries.
