- The deputy was traveling westbound on Colonial Parkway.
- A red sedan with a female driver in her 60s was traveling southbound on Mason Rd.
- Both collided in the intersection.
- The red sedan came to a stop in the intersection.
- The deputy’s vehicle kept traveling westbound and collided with a tree.
- The deputy and the driver of the sedan were transported by ambulance for precautionary reasons.
